A drive to the beach was a real treat and back in the 1970’s and 80’s when I grew up most of the cars had vinyl seats that would be so hot by the time you had to go home. You could put a damp towel on the seat or hang one from the window for shade. The sand would be still on your feet and in your hair. This painting captures that feeling of the hot beach day and the cars that took us there. Good times.
