Melbourne based artist, Kathryn Zammit, captures the familiar in her artwork. Her background in Industrial and Interior design, along with illustration is evident in her subject matter and style. Currently working in oils, her collection of small paintings evoke memory and connection.

Kathryn enjoys painting a wide variety of subjects from scenes of a 70’s Australian childhood, foods that evoke memory, rooms and outdoor landscapes that are interesting or connected to a feeling.

Most of these paintings are small scale and started and finished in the one sitting. She hopes to keep life and freshness in her work, that is found in painterly brush strokes and a mix of sharp detail and blurry edges. Her paintings can be bought here on her site and at Town and Country Gallery in Yarragon, Victoria. Larger paintings are often exhibited in exhibitions and on Artbid.com.au where many of her pieces have been collected. She also welcomes collectors to her home in Mitcham, Victoria to see a painting they are interested in, via the contact page. With a growing following, Kathryn enjoys talking with collectors as to the reason they have connected and bought her pieces and she plans to keep painting and evolving.
