I remember sitting at my Nana’s table shelling peas into a big bowl. It is a lovely job to do before dinner and nice to sit with somebody and shell together. They are even better if you have grown them yourself as sadly most peas come frozen these days. The green of them and the taste of the little sweet ones is delicious. I like the contrasting textures and rustic feel of this little painting.
