These apples looked so pretty on the patterned plate that they sat on with the enameled knife sitting beside them. I enjoy painting fruit as many artist do, they have timeless appeal to capture their colours and form with paint. I enjoy painting them reasonably realistically but with a painterly approach to keep it more lively.
